Built for Cinematographers – the new Phantom Flex4K is a true power house of digital 4K production due to its exceptional frame rate and flexibility for various shooting styles. Produced with 35mm format sensors with a form factor similar to the Arri Alexa, its 15 to 1000 Frames Per Second rate at 4K resolution makes the Flex4K perfectly suited to feature film and commercial shoots.
The Phantom Flex 4K camera inhabits a 24v battery mount and 64GB Internal Memory, allowing you to capture 5 seconds of real-time footage at maximum settings 4096×2304 at 938fps using a super-35mm 4K CMOS ultra low noise sensor. The cameras’ 2048×1152 image resolution is also achievable on a near super-16mm crop which allows 10 seconds of realtime capture at nearly 2000fps.
The extremely fast CineMag IV non-volatile storage technology allows 64GB clips to be saved in seconds, not minutes – and is even capable of continuous 4K recording at up to 150fps or 500fps in Full HD motion is possible. The main advantage of Cinemag is it diminishes camera and post-production down time, resulting in an even and efficient project workflow.
The camera enables you to customise your workflow based on the type of production you’re shooting, allowing more control over your shoots. Footage is captured in 12-bit Cine Raw format and files can be downloaded through the camera body via 1Gb ethernet only or the CineStation which allows 1Gb and 10Gb Ethernet connections. PC and Mac software solutions are available.
Cine Raw is now widely native to many Editing Suites and Colour Grading Tools allowing Editors and DIT’s to work directly with the RAWs and avoid the need to transcode. It ensures the fastest, high-speed capture whilst on set for optimum post-production.
