Packing many of the features found in its bigger brothers – the Miro LC321S is at home on the set of your latest commercial or in a laboratory gathering data for scientific analysis. It contains a HD-SDI output in comparison to other Miro models and comes with a battery should there be no AC power available to you (or is lost during an experiment).
The Miro’s compact size and onboard Sony battery option now allows super slow motion to be truly handheld. Featuring a handy flip out LCD full control can be had without the need of a laptop.
12GB Internal memory allows you to capture 2.7 seconds of realtime footage, boasting a 2 megapixel resolution at 3.2 Gigapixels (Gpx.s) per second at maximum settings of 1920×1080 at 1536fps, and uses microlenses on its custom-designed CMOS sensor with 10 µm pixel pitch to achieve great light sensitivity. Scientists and engineers can take advantage of the 3.2 Gpx/s and rely on the camera’s precise timing, synchronization, flexible triggering, excellent light sensitivity, and many other advanced features to gain insight into products and processes – allowing you to see what cannot be seen with the naked eye.
Footage is captured in 12-bit Cine Raw format. These files can be downloaded through Vision Research’s PCC software on to PC or USB CineFlash dock on MAC (and are fully compatible) *plugin required see resources. These removable, non-volatile storage devices slide into the camera’s body for quick and remote storage which saves you both time and money.
Cine Raw is now widely native to many Editing Suites and Colour Grading Tools allowing Editors and DIT’s to work directly with the RAWs and avoid the need to transcode. Some of the in-camera features contain an internal capping shutter, Image-Based Auto Trigger, immediate play back and much more.
